Mexico City-based designer Fabien Cappello partnered with local artisans in Guadalajara, Jalisco to create a series of functional objects for home and garden. Following the longstanding Mexican tradition of hojalata, this vase was crafted by hand using galvanized steel.

The galvanized steel has a lovely matte finish that feels substantial without being too heavy, and I love how the zigzag shape creates different shadows depending on where I place it in the room. It looks fantastic with a few tall branches sticking out.
