Large Bronze Classic Heath Ashtray

Large Bronze Classic Heath Ashtray - Main image
$532.5 $750 In stock

This piece is cast in solid bronze by Nancy Pearce in her studio in Los Angeles. In Pearce's words "I seek to create an archive of everyday objects by casting them in durable solid bronze so that future archaeologists will have a few pieces of the puzzle to decode from my limited time on earth starting in the 1970s. When the original objects are long gone, the bronze artifacts will remain..." This piece is an homage to the iconic shape of Edith Heath's 1940s ashtray design.

Emily D. ★★★★★

I've been using this ashtray every evening for a week now, and the solid bronze has already developed a nice warm patina that makes it feel like a permanent part of my home. The casting is so precise that the little details on the rim catch the light beautifully.

This bronze ashtray has a wonderful heft to it that feels substantial and well-crafted. The surface has a rich, subtle patina that catches the light nicely. I use it on my coffee table and it adds a nice sculptural element to the room.

Harper V. ★★★★★

The casting is so precise that every little detail in the bowl’s surface feels intentional, and it’s genuinely heavy enough to stay put on a windy porch. I’ve had it out for a few weeks now, and the solid bronze already has a nice, subtle patina starting where my fingers rest.
