Designed in collaboration with Christina Kim and Alice Waters, this Bread & Butter Plate was created exclusively for Alice Waters' iconic Chez Panisse restaurant in 2006. Born out of a mutual appreciation for the beauty found in natural ingredients, this line takes cues from classic French porcelain restaurant ware, with a Heath twist. A portion of the proceeds are donated to the Edible Schoolyard Project, whose mission is to provide a free, sustainable school lunch for students K–12 in public schools throughout the country.

George ★★★★★

This plate has a pleasing heft to it that feels far more substantial than the typical bread plate. The subtle hand-feel of the ceramic makes each slice of sourdough feel like a little ritual.

Daniel ★★★★★

The story behind this plate—born from that iconic 2006 restaurant collaboration—makes it feel like a little piece of culinary history on the table. The surface has a lovely, understated texture that catches the light just right, and it's the perfect size for a single slice of sourdough.

Nicholas ★★★★★

The slight heft and perfectly proportioned rim make this feel much more substantial than the usual plates I reach for. It's exactly the right size for a generous slice of sourdough and butter for breakfast.
