The word “monumental” is often used to describe Stan Bitters’ ceramic sculptures. But even at a small scale, this legendary American artist’s expression has a rare boldness. These ceramic lanterns are made by hand in Southern California and exhibit his signature dedication to organic form and texture.

Joseph M. ★★★★★

I hung this by the back porch and the way the ceramic catches the late afternoon light gives the whole patio a warm glow. The tan color is richer in person than I expected from the photos.

The tan glaze shifts beautifully in the light, and the hanging chain feels sturdy enough to trust with its weight. I’ve got it on the porch catching the evening sun, and it’s already become the focal point I didn’t know I needed.

Andrew F. ★★★★★

The ceramic finish has this wonderful earthy texture that catches the late afternoon light beautifully. It's heavier than I expected, definitely feels like it will hold up to the elements season after season.
