The fabric is genuinely soft to the touch but holds its shape beautifully on the table, and the hand-sewn edges give it a crafted feel that elevates even a casual weeknight dinner. The stone washing gives these placemats a beautiful, worn-in feel right out of the package—they lie perfectly flat without any stiffness. I love how the "distant blue" shifts slightly in different light, making each meal feel a bit more special without being too formal.
